Project Management for Adidas

INTRODUCTION

Adidas is a Tier One sponsor of the UEFA Champions League. In this campaign devised by TBWA in Amsterdam, they sought to amplify their sponsorship by targeting 14-19 year olds. Asking them "What would you do for ultimate access to the UEFA Champions League?"

THE CHALLENGE

Project Management to deliver the design and complex technical build for the competition mechanic. And then localise across multiple European markets within strict project timings.

IMPACT

In response to TBWA's brief we architectured and built an online edit suite to allow users to create their own unique video which answered the question "What would you do?" The edit suite consisted of a huge database of ultrashort humorous football (or associated) video clips gathered from Youtube and unique footage from Adidas. By putting their chosen clips together in succession and editing the overlaid text, users could create their own unique videos. Once created, the videos could be shared via social channels and the complete library of videos was accessible via the gallery. The best videos for each country earned their creators tickets to watch a UEFA Champions League match.
